Refinished and restored a Mid-Century Modern four drawer dresser.
Unfortunately, I was so eager to start working on this piece, that I forgot to take a before picture. Let’s see if I can paint a picture for you: decades of dirt and grime, countless stickers and sticker residue, layered finishes, etc.
Scrubbed down the dresser and painstakingly stripped off every bit of lacquer.
Sanded each surface with multiple grits to achieve a perfectly smooth finish.
Repaired a few issues with the drawers, one was stuck and wouldn’t open/close easily.
Applied a custom stain, mixed to match the original color.
Finished the dresser with 4 coats of hand applied Tung Oil.
