Worked with a team to develop an identity concept for the Graphic Communication Design 2013 final exhibition.
Background Information about GRCD: the Graphic Design and Digital Design programs merged in 2012 to create one unified major. The class of 2013 will be the first class to graduate with the new program title.
By injecting humor and wit into the identity, we chose to celebrate the New & Improved GRCD 2013 and invite the public to celebrate with us.
We were inspired by consumer packaging and how bold new flags or violators call attention to new product offerings. GRCD 2013 uses a “New & Improved” sticker to reinforce the positive aspects of our merger.
The sticker versioning offers the option for each student to choose a unique adjective to showcase their personality. The adjectives carry over into the expressive portrait style. The adjectives show off 62 individual students while still holding together as one GRCD.
